As Christmas gets closer many parents love to have family Christmas photoshoots – usually so that they can create a set of family Christmas cards. However, many are also wanting to create family albums at this time of the year to remember what their children were like at that stage in their lives.
In these photos we used our professional mobile studio, which allowed us to carry out this photoshoot in someone’s office. We’ve used three different backgrounds here, plus three different changes in clothes. This was a long photoshoot, but it was certainly worth it. We achieved what we set out to do, which was to create a range of very different looks to give us a wide variety of high quality photos.
During the same photoshoot we created some quality, contemporary portraits with a modern-looking white background, plus some others that were deliberately darker and more moody-looking against a black background.
A big bright white background, with mum and her son wearing stronger, dark colours makes for a set of lovely, contemporary family portrait photos that look fabulous as beautiful artwork on the wall.
In this studio photoshoot of a pregnant woman her bump was the most important thing that we needed to concentrate on – this was such a special time in her life with her baby-to-be.
A studio family photoshoot in which we encouraged this young girl, who was dressed in a fairy costume, to jump up and down. Every time she jumped, we encouraged her to make a variety of shapes mid-air.
These make a great ‘triptych’ of three photos mounted within a single luxury frame. Each photo is framed individually, but they’re all displayed together on the wall as a combined set, which looks really high quality and very contemporary.
Sometimes the background is almost not required at all. That was the case here, where the dress this woman was wearing needed nothing behind it to compete with it. A bright red dress against a white studio background will really stand out and look great as a piece of wall art.
We just ADORE hats – whether they’re on adults, children or babies, they look great and they’re so much fun. We tried two different hats on this young girl during a studio photoshoot with her family – they look fantastic.
The simplest portrait photos are often the best, as is the case here. We wanted a photo that was free of any distractions, with a clear background. This means there’s nothing to distract the viewer’s attention and it lets your eye focus on the person. It’s a lovely natural expression of this young girl.
