Introduction

The following describes how we handle and store personal information that you gave us directly by contacting us, as well as any personal information we might have gathered via our website or any of our social media pages.

We take your privacy seriously, so if there's anything you're unsure about, or if you have a question or concern about how your data is being handled or stored, then please get in touch with us so that we can address it by contacting us here.

How to Use this Policy

There are two parts to this Privacy Policy: (a) the Summary, (b) the 'Detailed Bit'

We've written 'The Summary' below in a way that we hope is helpful - we've used as much simple, common sense wording (non-legal jargon) as possible. We're assuming if you're anything like us, you don't want to wade through lots of legal-sounding paragraphs.

However, we're obliged to obey the law on data protection, which we're keen to do - so we've therefore also had to write this in more of a legal-sounding way, which you'll find in the 'The Detailed Bit'.

(a) The Summary

This section is a summary of 'The Detailed Bit' which you'll find later on:

  • we collect and carefully store any information that you voluntarily provide to us,
  • we automatically collect and carefully store any 'usage information' related to how you use our website and social media pages or apps,
  • we use your information for non-marketing business reasons related to the day-to-day running of BeesKneesPhotos Ltd, as well for us to help you as an actual or potential customer,
  • we will only use your information to promote any of OUR services to you - but only if we have your consent to do so,
  • we will not share your information with a third party, or promote any third party to you, without your consent - the only exceptions are for legal reasons, or for our suppliers to carry out a business task on our behalf (but no supplier is allowed to use your data for their marketing or advertising reasons),
  • we only share information with others if that is to comply with the law, to protect your rights, or to fulfil formal or legal business obligations,
  • we keep your information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise required by law,

(b) The Detailed Bit

What terminology do we use below?

Our Services - we use this terminology to refer to any website (e.g. www.beeskneesphotos.com) or social media account that we own,

Suppliers - this refers to organisations we might use to help us provide any of Our Services, for example if we were to use Microsoft Excel to store some information, then Microsoft would be one of our 'Suppliers' (in this example they, as an organisation, do nothing with your data, but we might use them to carry out our 'Business Purposes').

What information do we collect?

Information that you give us:

We will collect and carefully store any information that you voluntarily provide to us, including information that is:
  • about you - such as your name, address, email address or phone number,

  • about others - who might take part in a possible photoshoot with you,
  • about your access to our services - for example, if we were to provide you with access to a website that required you to use a username and password,
  • about your payment details - at the point you were to make a payment.

  • just like other businesses we may also request access to other information in your social media account(s) that you've allowed to be shared with others, such as friends, check-ins, and likes (you may choose to grant or deny us access to each of these in the normal way you would do so in your social media account),
  • this information might also include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use Our Services and other technical information,
