Evening photoshoot of a couple in love

This first set of photos are amongst our favourites from this photoshoot, where they’re both looking beautifully posed in a natural way.

This second set shows the type of things we then did to get some more informal and fun photos of this couple having a laugh together.

We use this approach as it makes sure our customers have a beautiful set of quality artwork they can hang on their walls. But it means they also have some more informal photos that really show off their character – they often have these displayed in an album.

We did this photoshoot in two locations – one urban, with artificial backgrounds, and the other in a rural setting, where the backgrounds were more natural greens. We also worked with two different outfits. This gave us a great variety of combinations, each with a very different feel to them.

Very much in love couple

With some couples it’s very obvious how much they love each other, as was the case here. During this single photoshoot we changed location a few times so that we have some urban backgrounds, as well as some natural, green backgrounds. We also did a change of outfits part-way through to give some additional variety.

Black and white guitarist

In the cobbled streets of London we did this really enjoyable photoshoot of a female guitarist – we felt the black and white versions looked so much better than the colour ones.

We love a good park – as long as they have trees and hedges, they make great places to use for a photoshoot. On this occasion we did a change of clothes to give a wider variety of photos.

Within a small area in east London we found several urban locations, plus a nearby local park which gave us some natural green backgrounds. A change of clothes added to the variety of the range of portraits we ere able to create.

I’m thinking of wearing a hat to a photoshoot – should I bring one?

Yes, definitely!

We love hats – they’re a great way to make you stand out and look eye-catchingly different. Here are some examples of customers who’ve worn hats during our photoshoots.

Here are some quick tips for wearing a hat during a photoshoot:

as with any other part of your outfit, only wear a hat if you’re super-comfortable and confident while wearing it,
think about the style of the photoshoot – formal, informal, smart – and make sure the hat fits with that style,
if you’re having the photoshoot with others make sure that your hat works alongside their outfits (but if it doesn’t, don’t worry, we can do some solo portraits of you wearing your hat),
bold colours and different styles of hat are all great,
basically, we’ve yet to see someone make a poor choice when it comes to hats, so go for it!
