Concerned about a family photoshoot?

A lot of people get nervous before a photoshoot. They often have a range of concerns - will I get on with the photographer? what should I wear? how should pose? what if I don't feel confident in front of the camera?
Well don't worry - we'll help you, and anyone with you, to get all calm and relaxed so that your worries and concerns quickly fade away and that you enjoy the experience.

We asked many of our customers these questions, so that we could check how well we help put them at ease:
- what concerns or questions did you have before we did the photoshoot?
- how do you feel about those concerns or questions now that we've finished the photoshoot?
We asked these questions after their photoshoot, so that we didn't know their concerns in advance. Their responses therefore had to be based on our natural behaviour - how we act with all of our customers. Once we received their answers we looked back over what they said and have grouped their responses into these 'themes':
- communication about the photoshoot,
- meeting a photographer you don’t know,
- whether you’d feel comfortable in a photoshoot,
- how the photos might look,
- concern about posing and being in front of the camera,

I had a few questions but Steve answered them all very efficiently by email before the shoot so before the actual shoot our questions were already answered. At the shoot I asked Steve how long it would take to receive the photos he took.
We received the photos much sooner than we expected so we were very happy.

My main concerns were regarding safety.
The email detailing all the information regarding the shoot was so thorough and professional that it helped ease concerns about safety. Also, the setting for the shoot was in a very open and public space which further helped with worries.

I was wondering if I was able to feel at ease and make it a fruitful shooting from which I could use some of the pictures for my profile as an actor.
Maybe it took me sometimes to let my self at ease but due to previous experiences I tend to be quite skeptical. But Steve was able to break the ice is a very gentleman way. Thank you!

The main concern for me is always if we will get on and if it will be awkward or not. That is a deal breaker for the photo shoot and pictures.
Everything went well. I really enjoyed it and the pictures show that.

Styling of you and the photoshoot

Mine were mostly questions as to styling and how that would fit with the location as Steve was familiar with the location. I think strong communication around this only enhanced the outcome of the photos more.
I’m glad we spoke as it helped me understand Steve’s ideas and I think we both got much better pictures from it.

Concerns were mostly about outfit, I brought some accessories, but was not sure that they will look ok on photos.
I liked the fact that we changed locations and backgrounds, so the photos don't look the same even without some accessories.

My main concerns were my hair, make-up and clothes that I had chosen as well as other logistical aspects like the journey to the rendezvous location and the services/facilities close to the photoshoot.
It all went well so I feel that I could have been less anxious about the day.

I was nervous about the children as I have 5 and can be difficult to get to do as asked.
The whole process was such fun the children were more than happy to have the photos taken.

With any shoot that involves my daughter I am always concerned that she wont feel comfortable with the photographer. It is always a worry that the photographer won't communicate with my daughter well or wont be patient. It is so important that the shoot of fun and that she feels comfortable enough to enjoy herself.
You diminished those concerns within the first 5 minutes of meeting you. Twinkle had such a good time, in Twinkle's words 'I really like Steve, he is one of my favorite photographers, I would definitely model for him again, he's s so nice'.
